Fair Trade, Fair Go – Changing the City of Whittlesea!

This project will inform many local people about the significant difference they can make in other people's lives by embracing Fair Trade. St Monica's College Social Justice Group will take the Fair Trade message to approximately 20 local schools and 20 local cafes to encourage them to embrace the principles of Fair Trade. The project specifically targets the local community to show that by local action we can generate a global impact. Changing our City of Whittlesea is our best way to start.

The total project cost is… $2 450.00

The major costs associated with the project are…
$1000 fair trade product
$750 host morning tea presentation
$300 materials for presentation follow up
$200 travel costs for follow up visits
$200 printing, mail costs

The $1,000 grant will be used to… purchase fair trade product for the morning tea and follow up presentations.

The balance of funding will be provided by St Monica's College and students.
