Expanding imaginative play opportunities for young children, Little Lorikeet Steiner Playgroup, Yarraville

Little Lorikeet Steiner playgroup is the only Steiner-based playgroup in Melbourne’s west. Our emphasis is on free, creative play and artistic activities that nourish the child’s soul.

We wish to upgrade our sandpit by purchasing a handmade mud kitchen (with chalkboard back), adding elevated sandpit borders and wooden balance logs. A mud kitchen will provide the opportunity for creative expression and a varied sensory experience for children, encouraging an imaginative-fuelled childhood.

How they raise the rest of the funding

We endeavour to obtain the wooden balance logs from a local arborist.Should we fall short of our budget due to unforeseen costs, the Committee of Management will liaise with local businesses and arrange fundraising activities to raise the balance.
