New Toys for Maroondah Toy Library Members
Play is essential to a child’s development and our toy library provides an affordable alternative to purchasing toys. Due to a rapid increase in members over the last 2 years to around 460 families and we would like to purchase 25 new quality educational toys.
Borrowing from our collection of 3700 toys teaches children to share, increases their range of play experiences, and has a positive impact on the environment, through the reduction of toys sent to landfill.

We would like to purchase 25 new quality educational toys across our range of categories to help ensure that we have sufficient resources to cater to member demand. We would particularly like to purchase 15 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) toys to enhance our member childrens’ critical thinking, problem solving and creative abilities. Purchase of 25 toys, associated cost of packaging and displaying each to.
The $1,000 grant will be used
* 25 quality educational toys purchased at wholesale prices (eg, click electronics kit, magnetic building set, anatomy kit, mini beast life cycle set, recycling game) $950. * Cost of packaging and displaying each toy in the library (bags, boxes, tape, contact etc) $50
